Our Story so far...

Thomson's Mower Centre has been operating for over 50 years.  Originally owned and operated by Bill Thomson.  The store was purchased in 1990 by Wayne Pickard the current Proprietor.  Wayne has been in the outdoor power equipment industry for 25+ years and has seen many changes.  He helped the store expand and grow to what you see now (have a look at the Gallery).  Back in 2002 Wayne made the decision to move the store to its current location in Hunter Street, Hornsby, a much larger store, so we're able to display a lot more stock, the new store also has ample parking too right at the front door.  Of course he doesn't do it all by himself and to back him up he has a great team of employees to help with the day to day running of the store.

The retail side of the business is looked after by Wayne and Sharon, between them they manage to handle the Sales, Administration, Accounts, and day to day running of the busy store.

The workshop which handles the Servicing and Repair work is looked after by our Workshop Manager, Anthony Rotgans.  Anthony has over 10 years experience in the outdoor power equipment  industry and specialises in ride on mowers, no job is too big or too small for our Anthony and he loves a challenge.  One of our other mechanics helping Anthony in the workshop is Michael Fox.  Mick too has over 20 years experience in the industry.  The boys in the workshop are often called upon to lend a hand out the front too. 

With the combined experience of the team here at Thomson's we are able to offer you the customer the advice and expertise needed with all your outdoor power equipment needs whether it be Sales, Service, Spares and repairs.
